St John's Mansfield

March 8th, 6pm Service - DRUM!

After some inspiration from the Psalm Drummers (website worth a quick look!) and some of the worship times at Soul Survivor, we're having a drumfest in the 6pm service on March 8th when around 10 musicians will be playing drums/percussion as part of the worship band.

I think they'll be playing anything which we can find for them to hit with a stick! Including a big metal bin!

It should be a really great time of celebration - please come along! It'd be great to see you!

Guide to Small Group Worship

Wokingham Vineyard Church have produced a guide to leading worship in small groups. It is primarily aimed at muscial worship leaders in small groups so if there is someone in your cell who is stepping out into leading then this might be of some use to them!

I particuarly liked the repeated section, and the way it is structured means that if you are mentoring a new leader you can easily chat about each small section.

Well worth a quick read!

Cell Worship Booklet

I've uploaded a pdf of the insides of the cell worship booklet that we gave to cell leaders a few years ago. There are still some good ideas and suggestions in there, but more importantly it contains our vision and values for cell worship.

New Website

New website launched! We hope and pray that it wil develop into a useful resource for the worshipping community at St John's and further afield.
