Good Friday

We did a Good Friday Service where we set up prayer stations around the church. We deliberately kept the service quite sparse, starting and ending with some sung worship with time in between for people to walk around the church and visit some prayer stations we had set up - namely life, sacrifice, forgiveness, love and hope.

I'm always moved at this time of year, reading the accounts of Jesus's death and resurrection really is a wake-up call sometimes. Gives you time to stop and reconsider things.

Hardwick Trip

We went to Hardwick Hall on Saturday with Anja, Bob and Lou. Met up with Matt and Sarah randomly as well. Had such a great time! Good weather, good friends and good beer (old peculiar - thanks Bob!). Here is a nice pic!

New Guitar Arrived!

My new guitar arrived! Cost me £200 with the case, which is an absolute bargain as it is a Peavey Wolfgang EXP QT. Floyd Rose trem and locking nut, maple neck and coil taps. The funk/stratty sounds when coiltapped are frankly awesome for a guitar of this price!

New Blog!

I got fed up with myspace - kept getting spammed and nobody read my blogs anyway. So I was looking at Jonny Baker's blog and thought "mmm, this is nice!". So I've set one up. I actually have to pay for it but the features on Typepad look really good. You can sign up to read posts with RSS and I can categorise the posts into categories I define.

I'll start by sticking a load of recent stuff up so the site doesn't look too bare!

Should be fun!
